At CC Pace, giving back to the community is at the heart of who we are. For our fourth-quarter outreach, we embraced the holiday spirit by bringing a group of volunteers to Junior Achievement’s Finance Park in Fairfax, Virginia, for a day dedicated to making a difference.
Junior Achievement is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Their programs focus on work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. With over 100 offices in all 50 states, Junior Achievement reaches more than 4.4 million students each year.
At Fairfax’s Junior Achievement Finance Park, our volunteers participated in an exciting, hands-on simulation that helps middle school students navigate real-world financial scenarios. This unique program empowers students to:
- Align the realities of life – and personal choices – with financial stability.
- Connect education and career decisions to income expectations.
- Experience first-hand what it takes to make it in the real world.
Throughout the school year, every eighth-grade student in Fairfax County Public Schools takes part in this day-long, guided experience. Community volunteers play a vital role in making Junior Achievement possible, and we were very excited to support such an impactful initiative!
This partnership highlights the spirit of the season and our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community. If you’d like to learn more about Junior Achievement, and how they’re transforming lives, visit their website to explore their incredible mission.
