Tim Van Tassel

Tim Van Tassel
Tim VanTassel is the President of CC Pace and a seasoned technology executive with a deep understanding of consulting, software, and analytics. He brings a full breadth of leadership experience spanning marketing, direct sales, pre-sales, advisory, product/project/program management, implementation, and ongoing customer success with a focus on unlocking value in the financial services industry. Tim is a frequent speaker and writer on a wide range of industry topics.
Tim is a CC Pace ‘boomerang’ after a long series of ever-expanding roles at FICO and a brief stint at an early-stage fintech firm. In his last role at FICO, he was the Global Head of Product Management overseeing the movement of the product portfolio to a public-cloud (AWS) single platform strategy. Prior to that, he was the General Manager of the Global Credit and Fraud lifecycle lines of business during periods of sustained growth where he led the go-to-market function for the combined set of FICO capabilities across targeted market segments. He also had the pleasure of overseeing the Americas analytics team which included machine learning-based price and offer optimization offerings, as well as the FICO Advisors organization, which ensured that clients achieved the optimal business benefits from investing in FICO software. Finally, he led the direct selling effort into the US Telco, Auto, Government, and Small Bank/Credit Union sectors.
Prior to FICO, Tim was a Managing Consultant at CC Pace focused on automated underwriting strategy and implementation in mortgage lending. His first position in technology was with Accenture, where Tim learned the full software development lifecycle as a manager delivering on financial services implementations out of the San Francisco office.
Tim’s successful career is a result of two factors. First, client return on investment (ROI) is always a focus in his thinking, on understanding it, and on client executives achieving it. Secondly, Tim is known for building highly engaged, empowered, and capable teams at whatever organization he leads.
Tim has a Finance degree from Miami of Ohio and before embarking on his technology career he was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He resides in the greater Chicago area with his wife and daughter. In his free time, Tim is an avid reader, hiker, skier, and mountain biker.
